Individual Tax & Advisory
From keeping you compliant to helping you grow, we look after the full financial side of your business. Whether you need your tax and books taken care of, or strategic advice to plan ahead and pay less tax, our team is in your corner – so you can focus on running and building your business. Think of us as the finance team behind your business, without the overhead.
Business tax
We prepare and lodge income tax returns, business activity statements (BAS) and financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships and sole traders – accurately and on time, every time. Whatever your structure, we make sure your reporting obligations to the ATO are met without fuss, so you can get on with running your business.
But we do more than tick the compliance box. Each year we review your numbers to make sure your business is running tax-effectively, flag opportunities to reduce your tax, and give you a clear read on how your business is really tracking. Our aim is for every return to add value, not just be a form to lodge.
You’ll always know your lodgement dates, PAYG instalments and tax payable well in advance, so you can plan your cashflow with confidence and never be caught out at the worst possible moment. And because we work in modern, cloud-based systems, sharing information with us is quick and painless.

Bookkeeping & payroll
Accurate books are the foundation of a healthy business – and good decisions start with numbers you can trust. We offer bookkeeping and payroll support to suit you, from fully outsourced bookkeeping to simply keeping your Xero or MYOB file clean, reconciled and up to date.
On the payroll side, we manage wages, superannuation, Single Touch Payroll reporting and your employee obligations, so your team is paid correctly and on time and your compliance is handled. As your business grows and the rules change, we keep you across exactly what you need to do.
With your books in good order all year round, there are no nasty surprises at tax time, your BAS is straightforward, and you always have an up-to-date picture of your cashflow and profitability. It’s one less thing to worry about, and it frees you up to do what you do best.
Tax planning & structuring
The way your business is structured affects how much tax you pay, how well your assets are protected, and how easily you can grow, bring in partners or sell down the track. Getting the structure right – whether you’re a sole trader, company, trust or a combination – is one of the most valuable things we can help you with.
Ahead of each year-end, we sit down with you to review your expected profit and put strategies in place before 30 June – not after, when it’s too late to act. That might mean timing income and expenses, making the most of available concessions, planning superannuation contributions, or adjusting how profits flow through your group.
Whether you’re just starting out, restructuring or scaling up, we’ll help you build strong foundations and give you a clear picture of your tax before it falls due. A short planning conversation now can save you a great deal – in tax, in risk and in stress – later on.
CGT & small business concessions
Capital gains tax can take a big bite out of the sale of a business, property or other significant asset – but the small business CGT concessions can reduce, defer or even eliminate that tax entirely when you qualify. The rules are complex and the eligibility tests are strict, which is exactly why expert advice matters here.
We advise on the sale of businesses, commercial and investment property, shares and other assets, working through the concessions, the 50% discount, rollovers and retirement exemptions to make sure you access every benefit you’re entitled to. We also model the tax outcome before you commit, so there are no surprises.
Given the sums involved, getting advice early – well before you sign a contract – is one of the best-value decisions a business owner can make. Plan the sale with us and, in many cases, we can help you keep substantially more of the proceeds.
Asset protection
You work hard to build your wealth, and the right structures help you keep it. Asset protection is about making sure that if something goes wrong in one part of your life or business, it doesn’t put everything else at risk.
We advise on how to hold your business and personal assets – across companies, trusts and other structures – to reduce your exposure to business creditors, litigation and relationship breakdown, while keeping everything tax-effective and simple to manage. We look at where your risk actually sits and structure accordingly.
It’s easiest and cheapest to get this right from the start, but it’s rarely too late to improve your position. Whether you’re setting up, growing or protecting what you’ve already built, we’ll help you put sensible safeguards in place – so you can build with confidence and sleep a little easier.
Software selection & setup
The right accounting software makes running your business easier, gives you a real-time view of your numbers, and saves hours of admin. But with so many options on the market, it’s hard to know what’s right for you – and the wrong choice can be costly and painful to unwind later.
We’re strong advocates of Xero and use it every day with our clients – its ease of use, live bank feeds, payroll and huge range of add-on apps make it a great fit for most small and medium businesses. That said, we’re not tied to one product: where MYOB, QuickBooks or an industry-specific system is a better fit for you, we’ll say so.
Once you’ve chosen, we’ll set the system up properly, migrate your data, connect the right apps and train you and your team so you’re comfortable using it. And because we work in these platforms ourselves, collaborating with us becomes quick and seamless.
Corporate secretarial
Running a company comes with a steady stream of obligations to ASIC – and missing them can mean penalties or a company that’s no longer in good standing. We take that burden off your plate by acting as your registered office and managing your corporate secretarial requirements.
We look after your annual company statements and solvency resolutions, update ASIC when directors, shareholders, addresses or share structures change, and maintain your company registers and minute books so your records are always accurate and complete.
It’s a small service that makes a real difference: your company stays compliant, your paperwork is in order if you ever need it for finance or a sale, and ASIC stays off your desk and off your mind.
